MICHAEL BLOOMBERG, TOM STEYER BOTH BILLIONAIRES, COULD NOT BUY AN ELECTION FOR THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINATION

The idea that people with massive money can buy an American election is dead .Now in truth it was not a real election but a bid for the Democratic party nomination, but it is done by winning delegates from states,  and the more votes the more delegates a candidate gets, the closer the candidate is to the nomination. Finally the person who votes makes up his or her mind depending on their own passions and desires. The two remaining candidates still in the race are Bernie Sanders a socialist and a real leftist and Joe Biden, the former vice-president for Barack Obama and a passionate middle of the roader. Neither spent the money of Michael Bloomberg and Tom Steyer who spent billions with no concrete results An openly  gay man  Pete Butigieg did very well in the first vote in Iowa. People will vote for gay candidates. Senator Elizabeth Warren did not do her campaign any good with her massive attack on Bloomberg only because he was spending his own money and commented on some of his women employees by degrading them. He says he was joking. Democracy is not prefect. It was Churchill that said “many forms of government have been tried and will be tried in this world of sins and woe. No one pretends that DEMOCRACY is perfect or all wise. Democracy is the worst form of government except for all the others”.

Short Bio: I was born in Toronto in 1931 to a wonderful mother who divorced shortly before my birth. I owe a great deal of my success to her. I am Jewish but not at all religious, yet my culture plays an important part of my personality. I attended Harbord Collegiate and U. of T. Faculty of Pharmacy. A unique mail-order pharmacy was the first of my endeavours in the profession, followed by many stores throughout Ontario. I have a loving wife, 3 children and grand-children and I am now retired from pharmacy. But what do I write about? Everything! My topics are funny, serious, whimsical, timely, outrageous, inspiring, and inventive. I promise that if you take the time to read any one of these topics – you will not be sorry.
