DESCRIBE ANTI-SEMITISM

Anti-Semitism is a mental disease of many people in the Western World, not all, and sometimes in individuals it comes and goes as do some diseases. It is very common in Muslim countries because of the Israeli-Palestinian wars and is part of the culture of European countries. As events occur that I think are of an anti-Semitic nature I will describe them as such here.

1. When Iran, a major Shiite Muslim country, can call for the eradication of Israel and the rest of the world can stand by and not take action to isolate this country “THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM. The IRGC deputy commander stated there are over 100,000 missiles in Lebanon ready to strike at Israel and annihilate the Jewish state. Imagine the outcry if a country called for the eradication of all blacks or all Catholics.

2. When European countries where the HOLOCAUST was perpetrated by the Germans and aided and abetted by many neighbouring countries beat up and kill Jews because of their religion, “THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM”

3. The Palestinians send rockets into civilian areas in Israel from residential areas in Gaza The world accepts that with little comment. When the IDF, after warning the residents that the Israelis will retaliate and civilians should leave their send their rockets into these areas there is a great deal of press about so-called civilians being killed .THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

4. When Italy met Brazil in the 1970 world cup of soccer (FIFA) downtown Toronto around college St. was closed. The Italian Canadians went crazy with Italian flags, honking cars and people screaming their support. Nobody accused the Italians of not being loyal to Canada. I just watched Canada vs Japan in the 2015 Davis cup. There were many Japanese Canadians cheering for Japan. Nobody screamed they were not loyal to canada But when Jews support Israel in sporting and political events they are accused of not being really good citizens of Canada. THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

5. In the Golan heights, near the border of Syria and Israel, the Syrian branch of Al Qaeda fighting the troops of Assad regularly take their severely wounded fighters for treatment in Israel. These troops are Sunni Muslims . The world press nearly completely ignores the actions of Israel. THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

6 At Canadian and American Universities where Jewish students are outnumbered sometimes, 10-1 when Jewish students try to support an event supporting Israel , their meetings are interrupted and broken up by pushing ,shouting and fighting. When Arab students have meetings denouncing Jews and calling for the end of the Jewish state and supporters of Israel complain, the Arabs say, they are allowed to say what they want as it is a country that allows free speech . THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

7 When The leaders of Iran call foe the eradication of the Jewish State, Israel, and the Europeans and the U.S. sit at a negotiating table in Lausanne and discuss how many centrifuges can remain, and whether nuclear inspectors can have unannounced inspections, and the negotiators continue talking THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

8. When Pro Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions students (BDS) at Edinburgh university in Scotland hold a vote against Israel supporting BDS just before Passover, so no Jewish students will be able to attend, THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

9. When a Jewish kindergarten in Belgium cannot get insurance, THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

10. When the commander of Iran`s Basij force Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi says that erasing Israel off the map is non-negotiable, and Ali Hosseini Khamenei the supreme leader of Iran has a nine point plan for eliminating Israel without killing Jews, but sending them back where they came from, Europe ,where they are persecuted now, and the Obama administration calls these statements just talk for local consumption .When Bibi Netanyahu in the midst of an election states that Israeli Jews should vote because the Israeli Arabs are voting in droves for the left wing, and he believes there will be no two state solution when he is premier , Obama calls this racist and the Jews want to fight the two state solution. THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

11. When the Arabs say that the Jews just came after the second world war, that there were no early Jewish tribes, that there was no Jewish temple torn down twice before by the Persians and the Romans, and the Christians who originally were Jews , who number at least one billion and their savior Jesus was a Jew,say little or nothing. THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

12 As far as BBC audiences are aware the number of terror attacks (although not specifically named as such) against Israel during the first 3 months of 2015 totals 3, one in Tel Aviv, 2 in Jerusalem. But the total number of attacks during the 1st quarter of 2015 is 309, therefor the BBC reported less than 1%. This was reported by “CAMERA” Committee for accuracy in middle east reporting in America. THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

Israeli technology helps farmers grow more food in Africa—Israeli medical delegations alleviate suffering in developing nations–Israel is a pioneer in changing sea-water to drinking water.– Israel sends rescue teams to help in natural disasters–Israeli technology turns sunlight into safe energy–Israeli technology helps develop diagnostic medicine–Israeli airport technology in security is copied world-wide–Israel is called home by 100`s of thousands people born elsewhere.

The above is nearly ignored by the world`s newspapers. THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

13 Amnesty International rejected a motion calling on the organization to mount a campaign against anti-Semitism in 2015 in Britain. The motion failed by a vote of 468-461. The members decided that because it was an issue with a single focus it should be turned down. What was completely ignored was that they had devoted an extensive report exclusively to anti-Muslim discrimination in 2012.. Why was the same problem not considered for Jews.? THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

14. There are 200-plus countries in the world, only Israel is considered illegitimate by many people and nations. Only months before Palestine was partitioned into two entities, Arab and Jewish in 1947, India was divided into two, Hindu India and Moslem Pakistan. Pakistan is 310,000 square miles slightly larger than Texas. Violence erupted in both cases. The U.N. Conciliation Commission in Dec 1949 tallied 726,000 Arab refugees a figure in contention. At the same time approximately 700,000 Jewish people were expelled from Arab countries where they had lived for generations. There were approximately 10,000 Arabs killed in the fighting when neighbouring Arab states invaded Palestine. There are no Jewish refugees looking for a home.

According to the UN High Commissioner on refugees , when Pakistan was created it resulted in 14 million refugees, Hindus fleeing Pakistan and Moslems exiting India . If we assume 7 million in each direction, the creation of Pakistan resulted in 7 million refugees of the Hindu faith, 10 times the number of Palestinian refugees. If the Palestinians had not rejected the two state solution it is conceivable there would have been far fewer Arab refugees if any and that is in contention. The deaths surrounding the Arab-Jewish war is estimated at 10,000, while the number of deaths from the creation of Pakistan is around 1 million . Israel is the 3rd Jewish state in Palestine, Pakistan is completely new as a state. Muslims invaded India and it is said about 60 million Hindus were killed during the 1000 years they ruled it. There are 49 Muslim majority states and 22 Arab states. Pakistan, a Muslim state is acceptable to all, but much of the world rejects only one state, the Jewish one. THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

Israel`s aid team to the earth-quake battered Nepal is the largest of any international mission. They sent 250 doctors and a field hospital of 60 beds. By comparison the U.K. sent 60 search and rescue responders and the U.S, as reported by Time magazine sent 70 American personnel. When you consider Israel has 8 million people and the U.S. 350 million the effort is amazing. When Human Rights Watch`s director Kenneth Roth tweeted “Easier to address a far-away humanitarian disaster than the nearby one of Israel`s making in Gaza. End the blockade!! And the world press chose to completely ignore that the commander of Israel`s field hospital in Nepal is a Druze, IDF Colonel Dr. Tarif Bader. THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM

16 When anti-Semites declare that Jews do not fight for their own country, and Yad Vashem declares that 1.5 million Jews fought for allied countries in the second world war. THAT IS ANTI-SEMITISM.

17. Jonathan Pollard a U.S. navy intelligence employee pleaded guilty in 1954 to spying for Israel, an ally of the U.S. What he did was despicable not only that he did it, but that he did it for money. He was given a life sentence in jail. If Pollard was not Jewish and the country was any other country than Israel, would he still be in jail. The answer in my opinion is a resounding NO . That is anti-Semitism.
