ANDREAS LUBITZ- SELFISH AND MENTALLY SICK

Sometimes an event occurs that completely shatters my confidence in human nature. Such is the story of Andreas Lubitz, the co-pilot of the airliner “Germanwings”. I have lost all sympathy for the fact that he was depressed. Many people in their lifetime go through similar experiences and end up committing suicide. At that point, they leave loved ones unhappy who may feel guilty that they did not recognize the problem and tried to help the suicidal victim. The people affected are close friends and relatives, people with a connection. Suicide is part of the facet of life. It happens daily.

Andreas Lubitz was a selfish person.  His act in crashing the airliner was designed to have millions of people , relatives of the passengers and others pay in unhappiness for many years and sometimes a lifetime. He was depressed but he wanted his name in the minds and words of hundreds of millions. The suicide was a planned act. He had mentioned to a friend that when he died people would speak his name. He asked the pilot to use the washroom more than once so he could lock the cockpit door.  He ignored the advice of his physician not to fly that day. His regard for his fellow humans was non-existent. I have never witnessed a more selfish act. I am not a religious person who believes in heaven and hell, but if such exists, I hope he goes to hell and suffers there for eternity.
