SEX,SPORTS, ZIKA VIRUS & THE RIO DE JANEIRO OLYMPICS 2016
What do young people like doing most. If I said having sex, I do not think I would get an argument from many. But what do I mean by the “young”. I am referring to humans, both men and women over 15 years old. At least that is the lower limit that I think have the possibility of going to the Olympics in Rio to take part in the Summer Games in Brazil. The newspapers all over the world keep track of the winners, the records set, the countries with the best athletes , whether the participants are using record-enhancing drugs, but I am sure there is no record kept of the sexual contacts between athletes.
We now have a major problem. Brazil is presently infected with mosquitos that carry the Zika virus .Athletes going to the games can, and probably will, use mosquito repellents before going outside to compete but it is now common knowledge that the virus can be spread by sexual contact. There is a common perception amoung athletes and coaches that having sex before competing takes away power from the athlete in the competition, but what about after the competition takes place. How best to fill in the time? Use your imagination. But there is another big question? Will some athletes forego the Olympics for fear of having a problem with their health. We will see!
