Adolf Eichmann- The Killer German Bureaucrat
On October the second 2018 in the Jackman building of the University of Toronto I attended a lecture by Professor Lillian Weissberg of the University of Pennsylvania on the topic “At Court; Holocaust Testimonies and The Problem of Witnesses;” It was not a long lecture and the main topic was how the witnesses were given a tough time by the lawyers for Adolf Eichmann, as were they there, did they see it themselves etc. That is not why I am writing this addition to my blog. She also stated that Great Britain, France, the United States, Germany and the Soviet Union all knew before Israel found out that Eichmann was living under an assumed name in Argentina. They did nothing to try and bring him to trial to pay for his horrendous crimes. Why? Because all the allied countries were now dealing with the other perpetrators of the holocaust in Germany and did not want to get their contacts involved in a court case. How did Israel find out where Eichmann was hiding? A member of the German police faked a break-in at their headquarters and the information was stolen about his whereabouts. Such a horrendous crime and the instigator was allowed to be free. There is no ethics among countries, just self-interest.
