CYBERSECURITY-A NEW HUMAN PROBLEM

What is cybersecurity& how does it work.

It is the  practice of defending computers, computer servers, mobile devices, electronic systems, networks and data from malicious attacks. It protects networks, data (including data that is private and very sensitive) The protection is from hackers and cybercrime. It involves taking precautions. If you think that you are not a target for these modern day criminals you are sadly mistaken.  The ideas of  many people from all countries is that because they own small companies the perpetrators of these illegal acts will not attack them. This is not even close to the facts. The cybersecurity problem is world-wide with no boundaries for countries, races of people, companies and all facets of human existence. It can be perpetrated and takes little time to put into practice.

When I stated it is a problem, I was not exaggerating. Suppose you are a Republican Senator in a predominantly Democratic state. All through the election your voice and face makes derogatory remarks about Democrats, so much so that your Republican followers feel they cannot vote for this man and they all vote Democrat. Before you can do anything to prove it is not you, but a duplicate of your  voice and face.

You have a bank account with millions of dollar that releases money only with a secret code, but a cyber company finds out that number You and your company go broke before you can find out who stole your money. It was sent by unknown people out of the country. If you are lucky, the bank manager recognizes that the action is not typical of you and telephones a warning.

You are having a party and a close friend was left out as a guest. This so infuriates your so-called friend, he has a perfect duplicate of you and your voice  made and sends it out on the internet. What this former friend has to say, so angers the guests that have been invited, that many just don`t bother attending.

It is a well-known fact that world champions of Chess and other  brain games do not stand a chance against cyber machines. How could they? unbeknownst to the champion ,the cyber machines have played them virtually and know exactly how to counter their next move because they know what it will be, and forget nothing.

So far I have alerted you to possible personal problems . But I must not avoid talking about problems that  can have  international repercussions. It is well known by the Western world, that China, Russia, North Korea and other non-democracies have interfered in in democratic elections. If you have a Chinese immigrant as a candidate in B.C. low and behold,  his face and  voice appears and criticizes the other non-Chinese voter. Who is your firm Canadian citizen candidate going to sue. It is a  fact that the so-called fair elections in non-democratic countries  are not fair and democratic and they have few immigrants to use against them, not that we would. The anti-democratic countries promote their own candidates in western countries and provide them with election money. How do you choose?

Do you remember when Auto companies, Insurance companies Energy companies armament companies were  the top earning companies and were on the top of the stock exchanges. Most have been replaced by Cybersecurity companies like Facebook , Google, IBM. I can tell you , for sure that nobody will know what will replace them , I would never have predicted when I was in High School what is there now.
