WHY does Iran have so much animosity toward Israel
Self-interest- Self-interest is the prime motive of people, countries and religions. Iran used to be part of and controlled the Persian Empire. As all Empires they eventually lost most of the lands they conquered. As many Arab nations were defeated by Israel, in order to ingratiate themselves to fellow Muslims and get back some of the prestige Persia used to have, they wanted to help the Palestinians. As events unfold now Israel will never be able to make peace with the Palestinians, because if they do, Hamas and Hezbollah in Gaza and Lebanon will lose their power. Retaining power is the prime motive of these dictators.
This is the history. The Jewish people in the world gave a lot of money to Israel and the Jews defeated five Arab countries to have their own state, where Jews could go to escape antisemitism which is appearing now all over Europe and even in the United States. An area in the Middle East was given to the Jewish people by the League of Nations and the United Nations. During the Holocaust Europe, the United States and Canada did not allow Jews to become refugees in their countries.
Jews love Israel and are proud of its accomplishments. With dictators Israel will never get peace in Gaza and a weak Lebanese government cannot help us in Lebanon with Hezbollah. The money given by the world and the United Nations to Syria, Lebanon and Gaza goes into the pockets of the dictators, not to the ordinary Arabs to help them thrive. The citizens in each country can do nothing. Jews can help Arabs to start businesses, buy homes and in general have a better life. Palestinians are not allowed to become citizens of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and possibly other countries. It goes without saying that Jews who were for centuries citizens of Arab countries cannot return and that Iran where for years Jews felt comfortable is probably behind this terrible effort to kill Jews. That is not for sure.
Instead of Jews in democracies raising money for Jews in Israel and in their own countries, they should, in addition, raise money for Arabs in the Middle East as well. At this point most of the money should be for Gazan Palestinians. The money should not be given to governments but to individuals who describe to the Jewish people what they need and why. A system must be set up to verify the individual Arab needs. Today well-off Arab countries give very little to help poor Arab countries.
Remember, I said self-interests trumps all. Yes, we are helping Arabs but as well we are helping Jews so they can have peace in Israel.
