As a Canadian Jew supporting the existence of a Jewish state, I have always been bothered by the feeling that in reality, over the long term, the Jewish Israelis want to take over the Palestinian areas and possibly expel them. I have Jewish friends in Canada who harbour those thoughts. Why not? It is quite evident that they have the best army in the area, and recently Sunni Arab states like Egypt and Jordan, who have relationships with Israel, have become, because of Shiite Iran very friendly. No more fears about neighbouring Sunni states. Anybody who reads the history of that area knows that Israel presents no expansionist threats to any neighbours, but all the Sunni Arab states are deadly afraid of Iran. The policy makers in Israel are not crazy. Why take over more Arab Palestinian land. The country of Israel now has a minority of 20% Palestinians. The Jewish Israelis are not looking for trouble and want to maintain a majority Jewish state .

And then I read a piece put out by ” MEMRI”.( Middle East Media Research Institute). This Jewish organization reads all the Arab press and publishes what might be of interest to Jews, and of course whether the Palestinians are really interested in peace or playing a propaganda game for the world. This article they published is devastating. Palestinian Authority SCHOOLBOOKS  for 2017-18; Increased Indoctrination To Jihad And Martyrdom. The Islamic Education book for Grade 7 and Grade 9 describes Muslim victories over their enemies and stresses the Muslims won because the fighters wanted to achieve “MARTYRDOM” . These youngsters were encouraged to give up their young lives for victory. Quran 47 (Surat Muhammad) for the grade 9 kids  promises those who follow the prophet as well as those who wage Jihad for the sake(of Allah) and defend his religion, every reward in this world and eternal life in the world to come.

How can you want peace when you encourage little kids to die. Golda Meier was so right when she said. ” Peace will come when the Arab world love their children, more than they hate us.”
