ALL NATIONS ,ALL PEOPLE ,THINK OF THEMSELVES
I literally cried when I read what happened in Burkino Faso. As I get older and hopefully wiser, I see what should have been so apparent many years ago. It is in the nature of all humans to act in their own self-interest and to let the consequences look after themselves. It is not always easy to see why people, religions and nations act the way they do but eventually the purposes of their actions become apparent. In this blog as I come upon different issues I will add them one at a time. But the principle will remain the same.
Can you believe what happened to the 5 people from Quebec that died in a terrorist attack in the village of Manni, in Burkina Faso? This is such a poor African country with very little assets. The people killed were from a Catholic Canadian mission who came only for the express purpose of helping. They provided money and manual labour. Who the terrorists were has not been ascertained but these people did not want the country to succeed and so went and killed their helpers. They were not interested in the people they killed or the success of the country
Obama is the worst president who ever served in my lifetime. Why? He was only interested in himself and what he saw as the shortcomings in his life. He was black so he resented the U.S. for allowing slavery. He was going to pay back the white people who ran the country. His wife made the statement when he was elected that it was the only time she was proud of her country. He did not like the domination of the U.S. over African and countries of colour. So he pulled out of all actions in the middle east and the support of Israel This led to the fiasco in Syria with the millions of Syrians having to leave the country. He said he would not allow the president of Syria to use gas warfare. That was his red line, not to cross. He did nothing. If I can find anything he did right, it was when he started a national health plan. It is sad that the first black president was such a failure.
Everybody wants to solve the problem of “homelessness”, but just not in my neighbourhood. We all are very critical of a society that cannot find the resources to build modest housing for people who live in the street until it comes to where these housing units are built. The people living in the area have various reasons for their opposition. Their first statements bring up the children. Will they be safe? What they don`t mention is that they are really worried that the value of their property will be decreased. Will society, any society ever change/
